Does anyone know how to remove 1948 steel casement windows from a wood frame and siding including the sash?
Eventhough I removed the wood screws why wont the sash (frame)simply come out. What is holding it? These windows crank out.
There’s usually a nailing fin going around the outside edge of the frame which is nailed into the framing.
You have to remove about an inch of the siding material from around the frame to get to the fin.
