Expensive wedding??♥?
What to you is an expensive wedding? Description/ favors/place, etc? Just doing this for fun ;]]…..
I read about this one couple, who did a trip to hawaii with the brides parents and grooms parents. First class. They had tables set up on the beach with like seashells, and i forgot what the fathers got but the mothers got some necklace made out of seaglass. And the preist, and everyone was in all white. She was barefoot and had some designer gown on with a louis vuttion sapphire & pearl necklace and ring.
It was really cool, i thought ;]]..Well i didnt read it but it was on t.v . Lol i was bored and sick from school!!
Then to top it off, when they flew back in, they had a family wedding with like 200 people. And she had a new dress and i think some new peice of jewlery.
Pretty neat? Well thats mine, how about yours?
To me, wedding is only too expensive if people go in debt hosting it, or they spend large amounts of their life savings on it.
To many people $10,000 is WAY too expensive, and to a lot of people a $100,000 wedding is a drop in the bucket. I don’t think you can put a dollar amount on “too expensive.”
To me extravagence means that the guests comfort is of the utmost concern. Gourmet foods, lots of variety, opulent flowers, live music, and favors everyone can enjoy… (usually something edible and not a trinket.)
We went to the most amazing wedding in October (I was a bridesmaid) and the hors douvres were amazing, roast duck on a tiny bed of shredded potato with a berry preserve on top, scalops, fresh mini crab cakes, little espresso glasses full of butternut squash bisque, hot apple cider, etc. We were stuffed by the time dinner was served!
I also think of lots of customization and personalized touches when I think of an extravagent wedding. I guess some people really associate the brides dress with extravagence, but to me I don’t… I dont know, to me what makes a wedding are the things that are done for the guests… Spending $10,000 on a gown and then serving your guests spaghetti is not extravagent to me
