what should i get for a thirteen year old french boy (host family)?
Im going to france and was told to bring something for my family. I just found out that my family consists of a mom and a thirteen year old boy. It says that they like to play sports, go to the beach, read, and “marche” which im pretty sure means hiking(??).
So far I was thinking of getting a yankees baseball cap for the boy and a lennox vase for the mom.
Any other suggestions?
Your spelling of “mom” suggests you are American(?) so get them something of your own culture, the baseball cap would be something a 13 year old boy would like. Sounds like you don’t need many pointers. Maybe they would also like you to show them some American home cooking when you get there. The biggest thing to impress them would be for you to just enjoy the experience of being in France and embrace the language. The French love to hear foreigners make an effort to speak French, even just a little bit, and they will go out of their way to help you if you try.
