how to repair a crack on the fiber glass bathtub?
My daughter dropped a tool on the fiber glass bathtub and cracked it open to the point that the water goes inside the crack. The crack is about ½”wide x ½ “long. Is there anyway the fiber glass crack can be repaired and how? Thank you beforehand for your advice.
There are several methods you can use. You can buy a fiberglass repair kit and follow the directions or when we had a similar mishap we lightly sanded the crack and surrounding area and used epoxy resin to fill the crack using a putty knife to apply it and make it smooth. You will still be able to see the crack this way but it will be less visible and will be water proof. Epoxy resin can be bought at most hardware stores for very cheap, make sure to get the kind that dries clear.
