Which way does the plastic 3/8 ferrule go on a pex 3/8 supply line?
Pictures and source would be most helpful. The plastic ferrule has a long side and a short side. The short side looks flat at first glance but its beveled. The long side is tapered. I need an official answer from an engineer or designer on this please. Opinions are guesses. I want to know its intended proper installation.
I know the bevel end goes toward the valve. But, too many people don’t know a bevel from a taper. So, I need a picture. Since the ferrule looks like a miniature tapered washer that you would use on a plastic EO waste, many people tend to place it oriented the same way. Its a hard sell to correct a Master Plumber who’se been putting it in backwards his whole life even though I’m also a Master Plumber too but got corrected years ago.
