I could be silver plated. That is not the expensive to do make something silver-plated. Silver rusts (tarnish) a deep gray to black color, which is how it appears in the picture. Iron rusts orange and copper rusts green/blue. Get a little silver cleaner and clean it. If it works, then you have a least silver-plated jewelry. Your parents or a neighbor might have a little you can use.
