How can I use Math.random in fillRect?
For my computer science assignment, It has to be a random square in the window, so I’m at a loss as to how to do it?

If this shape you are painting is a square, all four sides must be the same length. Also, the method fillRect in java.awt.Graphics takes four parameters, not three. java.lang.Math.Random() will return a double value between 0 and 1. To use this, you have to multiply it by a maximum value. For example to get a random number between 1 and 10, you would say:
int randomValue = (int) 10 * Math.Random();
Now that you have a random size, you can say:
g.fillRect(randomValue, randomValue, randomValue, randomValue);
Give that a try.
