Why is my apricot tree dropping green leaves in spring?
I have four apricot trees that are about thirty years old. When I bought this house, everything was overgrown and neglected and had been for 5 or 6 years. While I’ve been trying for the past couple years to keep three of my trees alive, there is one that has always been fine. Though all of a sudden in the past couple days, the relatively healthy one has been dropping many of it’s green leaves! The other three trees aren’t dropping a thing. It has been an unusually and incredibly wet last few weeks…could the weather be causing this?
It sounds like your apricot tree has crown gall, which can be cured by treating with Galltrol.
