Hi, any recommendations from experience for v v good quality glass slumping kilns?
Machine is to slump upto 100 items a day (12″ x 6″). Which are the good companies? Europe, USA and China.
The people I have talked to that have large (5′ x 10′) kilns which they say they built for a big project find that they work very well for multiples where they lay out a couple of dozen items and do them all together.
The problem, of course, is that you have to heat the glass moderately slowly to keep it from cracking (or preheat the blanks and then handle hot glass onto the molds) and you have to cool quickly to annealing temp and then anneal. since you don’t say where you are I can only point you at a company a few miles from me that has a good reputation. http://www.paragonweb.com/
