How can I clean beach shells?
I recently went to a local beach today and brought home some shells with the intention of incorporating them to a mosaic. The problem is is they some of them are begging to reak really bad. I thought about bleaching them but they might lose their color if I did so. How can I eliminate the odor without altering their color?
Note: They were already dead when I got them and the park does allow you to take shells home so don’t berate me on any of that.
soak them in diluted bleach water over night or as long as needed. (smells gone) 1 part bleach, 10 parts water. bleach will only bring out the natural colors.
