What kind of bugs are in my bed?! And how on earth do I get rid of them?
Plz help! I have found bugs in my bed (so far, only on the sheet), but I have no clue what kind. So far, I have only seen them on the sheets. They jump 1/2 cm when poked lightly. They are black (or a VERY dark brown). I sometimes get itchy bites that last for a while (no particular area, it seems randomized), but there is no bullseye pattern to the bite (and it is just ITCHY, no pain). But they’re not just in the bed – in clothing too, and I even saw one on my budgie!!! I looked up mites, bed bugs and fleas, but nothing fits the description. What kind of bugs are they? And how on earth can I get rid of them?
Boy . . . are you sure they’re not bed bugs? Have you been on vacation recently where you may have stayed in a hotel that was infected with the little critters? Otherwise, if you have pets that go outdoors, it COULD be fleas. They’re a real dark brown and hop around when you touch them. But they can jump a whole lot more than 1/2 cm. You can also bag a couple of the critters and take them to a local exterminator. They may be able to identify it and let you know what will work to get rid of them. Good luck and guard your budgie!
