If you use a rare earth magnet instead of a ceramic magnet will the electrical output be greater?
I am building a hand crank generator at home and i am wondering what kind of magnet I should use.
yes! absolutely rare earth magnets. and assuming your not hercules then the generator would be small enough that a old junk hard drive would be perfect for obtaining them cheaply! butcher the hard drive and underneath the coil assembly is usually 1 or 2 wicked powerfull rare earth magnets.
