my 14 yr old son is in a hitting slump , need some advice?
in 20 plate appearences he was hitting .500 with 0 s.o. , in his last 8 plate apearences , he has 0 hits and has s.o. 3 times , he is facing pitchers that he has seen all year and ,i dont see anything wrong with his mechanics , he is killing the ball in bp , this is very unlike him ,he usually goes into a little slump at some point every season by hitting into outs usually fly ball outs , but he never strikes out this much , last yr he only s.o. once and that was the first game of the year, any advice?
The best thing to do when you get into a slump is to just keep swinging. Maybe try to hit the ball on the ground more. Slumps are natural. In my 10+ years I’ve been a few and just worked through them hitting BP and working off a tee mostly
