How can I remove the glass from the fireplace in order to clean it out?
This is a gas fireplace, there is a wall switch to turn it on and off. There is glass attached to the front of it which needs to be cleaned, plus there are dead moths in there. I can not figure out how to get the glass off in order to clean it!
There are metal pins on the corners of the doors which hold them in place and allow them to pivot. These pins are usually held on by tension clips. Simply lift up on the (opened) door, push down on the pin, and pivot the bottom of the door towards the center of the fireplace, releasing the top pin.
Then reverse the steps to reattach them.
