what’s the difference between lab-created blue opal and faux blue opal?
are they the same thing? is lab-created bad? it just means it was grown in a lab, not mined out of the ground. but the stone is authentic, right? it’s not plastic or glass. if something is called faux blue opal, i assume it’s some other material designed to look like a blue opal, but is not. do i have this right?
faux means that is is not real, but synthetic, it could either be glass, plastic or some other simulant
lab created opal is an opal, but was made in a lab, not formed naturally
