Famous religious (saints, angels, etc) statues from the Middle Ages?
I’m doing a project for school on religious art from the Middle Ages and I’ve already covered mosaics, paintings, murals, stain-glass windows, manuscripts and Gregorian chants. So I want to do a section on statues or sculptures and I would need an example of a statue with a picture and information like who created it and when. It does not even need to be famous.

The great cathedrals in Europe are full of them. However, start with the medieval sculptures in the Victoria & Albert Museum. Then go on to the frontages of the cathedrals. Strasbourg is wonderful, also Notre Dame in Paris.
