Can I get some basic info on glass kilns?
My mom and I are both interested in buying a kiln but we both want to different things. My mom wants to do fused glass, but i want to be able to melt down glass bottles (no all the way… i making a Salvador Dali like sculpture). Is there a good kiln we can both use?
A glass kiln/annealer would be so expensive your bones would turn to powder, not to mention the gas costs. If you can afford that, you might as well open a glass studio. Otherwise, look into a local studio that can let you use their equipment or take a class for a lot less money.
