Jewelry Cabochon

Jewelry Cabochon
Can a simple piece of jewelry be a metaphor?

ADULARESCENCE
By C.S. Scotkin

On my hand I wear a moonstone
changeling cabochon, my symbol,
womanhood accepted, cherished
shimmers new with different light.
Oft transparent, then all clouded,
on occasion, stars shine through
set in simple, golden lines.

Wonderful poem. I had to look up a few words, but the research was well worth the knowledge I gained.
