How do i find the square footage for glass sheets?
I need to make a glass box. i want it 60 inches long , 18 inches high and 20 inches wide. The cost of the glass is $3.75 per square foot. how much will the glass cost
The first answer is incorrect. The inches need to be converted to feet.
5280 square inches is the correct surface area. That then needs to be divided by 144 square inches to determine the square footage. 36.66repeating
That needs to be multiplied by the price per square foot.
It is more like $137.50.
One thing to consider, though. This figure assumes that you can buy the glass cut to size, or cut it yourself, and that the square footage is not static. If you have to buy the glass in whole feet sold in pre-cut sizes, it will be more expensive.
