How can I tell if my rose quartz pendant is real and not glass?
Is there even any way you can find out?
Probably the easiest method is to check its thermal conductivity. Don’t panic this is very simple. Take your pendant and an ordinary drinking glass and leave them both on the table for ten minutes or so to allow them to get to the same temperature. Next pick up each in turn and touch it with the tip of your tongue, if your pendant is real rose quartz it will feel distinctly cooler than the glass, if they feel the same it is glass. You may have to do this a few times to get used to noticing the difference as is quite small but it is a good test which works with many different stones.
