Question About Fuse Beads?
I’m having a party and one of the projects is fuse beads (perler beads.) You’re supposed to put a piece of some kind of paper on top of the the pegs and peg boards, what kind of paper?
Actually, it is a silicon based paper. Craft shops usually carry packets of it.If you try to use freezer paper, you may set something on fire. If you use plain waxed paper, you’ll have a job removing wax residue from your iron…it may transfer wax to clothing you iron with it for some time.
Additional: It is NOT waxed paper…it is SILICON paper, and it FEELS waxy. You might get away with it, but it is not what the manufacturer recommends, which means if you injure someone, or ruin your iron, you bear the responsibility. If children are involved, and they are not yours….do you really want to take the chance? Just buy a pack of the paper made by the manufacturer of the product…it’s very cheap.
