Flowers Mosaic
PlEaSe.. please read this verse?

i’m 13 years old, i wrote it yesterday

To Kill

She curls her arms around solid air,
An invisible embrace of murder’s choice.
Weeping beneath the tresses of hair,
The horror, the silence of a deadened voice.

Through her glassy eyes she sees the blood,
The mosaic of red painted across guilty hands.
To ease and part the flowering bud,
And grab the petals, the shards of plans.

In her mercury palms lay a ruined flower,
An ended life… shreds of grey, lying in fatal dust.
Slam your two lips shut, for death’s taste is sour,
Oh… Oh… the bitter taste, as she sits in disgust.

I don’t blame the woman.
I do not blame the victim.
I blame the law.
I blame gradual murdur.

She digs her fingers into the flat of her stomach,
Fingering, jabbing beneath a cage of bones.
The innocent life that one decision took,
The beating hearts are now a bucket of stones.

Decent?? Lmao that was incredible. You know, my psychologist was speaking to me, he was telling me that I was a gifted young adult in terms of intellectual thinking, abstract thinking, and have a unique writing ability. I believe that you are particularly gifted with writing considering most thirteen years old your age do not have a sense of the world around them, have the same degree of intellectual thinking, the same degree of being able to construct well-written metaphors and plots and themes and use as great word choice as you have shown in this poem and in many others I have critiqued. I absolutely loved this poem and the message was excellent. A little haunting and somewhat dark but it made me think. I like poems that make me think. I truly enjoyed reading this. Great Job Bethany=]

On a further note: I would like to add that my favorite stanza had to be this one right here:

She digs her fingers into the flat of her stomach,
Fingering, jabbing beneath a cage of bones.
The innocent life that one decision took,
The beating hearts are now a bucket of stones.

Well written, vivid imagery, great read. Thanks for sharing!
