How high and how far out do you toss the ball when jump serving?
I’m trying to learn but my tosses are really random. I’m 5’1 if it helps. Like how high up should I toss the ball and how far out? And when should I begin my approach (as the ball goes up, at the peak, as its coming down etc.)? Thank you!
Okay. Finally a volleyball question i definitely can relate too. I’m five two. So we are about the same. My coach doesn’t prefer me using a jump serve, but since i begged she taught me. What you want to do to find out the height is by holding up your arm (straight up) when you toss the ball it should never be shorter than that.Imagine when you do toss the ball that you have three hands, that should be where you toss it, and make sure its out in front of you. When its time to do the approach, think of it as a spike approach. I’m not a hitter, so it took me a while to get that. You want to approach when its at the highest peak. And remember, practice makes perfect.. :]
