is this a diamond or zircon or crystal or what? i need help?
i can grind it down on the bench grinder and it has stains and i found it in a creek in NSW, aust.
Yes diamonds and zircons are crystals. They have an internal atomic crystalline arranged structure.
However I highly dought that the specimen you found was in a creek in NSW Aust was a diamond, since there are no diamonds or large enough Zircons found in that region. It may have been topaz or something similar.
You can grind down just about any crystal on a bench grinder. They will tend to break up rather than grind down. Not a very good thing to do to a gem stone.
