Is there a straight edge product for cutting wood free hand with an electric saw?
I want to cut a wood board with my portable jigsaw and want the edge to be as straight as possible. I don’t own or have room for a cutting table. Is there an edge guide tool available that I can clamp on and cut alongside of?
If your jig saw has holes in the side of the base plate,you can likely buy one,if not, make one.With a jig saw I cut as good as I can and plane or belt sand to the line.You can also clamp a level or strait edge the same distance from the line as the blade of the saw is from the side of the base plate.
