What, if any, is the best short cut for a Maltese?
I have a Maltese pair that live to get stickers and sand burs matted in their coats. The female, it is easy to get out (she loves being brushed) but my male, I have actually had to cut a bunch out. He looks awful. I was thinking that if I just cut him short we would get along alot better. He sees the brush and hides. I love him so much, but almost every time he comes near me I am having to get out mats and then he wants to aviod me for a whole day to just have more matts again….Please Help Me out with this so my little guy will love me again!!!!
Would suggest clipping him short leaving the tail and around face longer.I have Maltese and this is what I have to do to mine.The coat stays much cleaner and easier to maintain this way.
