Clear Chord
How do you strum with the guitar and keep a single chord playing while making it sound loud and clear?

I have an acoustic guitar and want to learn how to keep a single chord playing out loud. Please tell me how you can strum it this way.

Hmmm… Well, the question is a bit odd, but I’ll give it a go. The most important thing you can do is to use a pick that is AT LEAST .80 mm, if not 1mm or higher. Secondly, STRUM your strings, don’t glide over them. And, of course, you need to excert a good deal of pressure and on your chording hand and maintain that pressure in order to give the chord(s) the proper sustain. And on a side note, larger frets give a guitar a more “scalloped” (Malmsteen) feel, and aid in note clarity, but that’s pretty expensive. I hope this helps.
