I want to bake cake batter in a glass bowl, Can I?
I want to bake cake batter in a medium sized glass bowl for the shape to make a novelty cake. Can I use a regular glass mixing bowl to bake in? Or does it have to be a special type of glass?
It has to be oven safe (pyrex is the best choice)
If it does not specifically say that it is oven safe then it will likely explode in your oven….and won’t that be fun to clean up!?!?!?
If the glass is indeed safe for heating, ‘oven safe’ will be embossed on the bottom of it.
