Wondering how to get blue and gold to wean off 2 feedings daily?
We are trying to introduce more varieties of foods to our 12 week old blue and gold. It is on 2 formula feedings a day and we cant get it to eat anything else……any suggestions???
You will have to continue for another 3-4 weeks feeding formula,then try soaking some Sunflower seed overnight in warm water ,drain ,rinse,place somewhere warm till it sprouts(2-3-days)rinse and feed the sprouting seed,this will entice your bird to take more solid foods .
Put the sprouting seed along with a little piece of Broccoli,Sweet Corn Cob or Apple ,Pear,in it’s cage and it will venture to try it,then it is success all they way.
