How do you fix a touch lamp that stops working?
Our three-way touch lamp had a bulb blow, so we replaced the bulb with another three-way, and the light is on full power, nonstop. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it. What happened? Any thoughts?
Touch lamps take a one power bulb. The controller in the base makes the bulb go from low,med,high and off. Try putting in the correct bulb first. If it does not work properly, then the controller in the base has gone bad and needs to be replaced, a common occurrence with that type of lamp. A lighting showroom can get the controller for you. price ranges are approx. $9.00 for a cheap one to $15.00-$20.00 for a better quality one.
