My packet of mince has blue bits in, which looks like part of the mince? What could it be?
Do you think it is a vein? Should there be blue vein in mince? It looks a bit wrong to me!
My other half came in and looked at it and thinks it’s rubber, as in a rubber glove has been minced up with the beef.
I fished some of it out and think I want to contact Tesco for them to examine and explain
The FDA approval stamps on the sides of beef looks bluish, and when ground into the mince as part of the fat percentage, adds that color. It’s food grade ink, therefore edible.
