Are the beads in 25mg Adderall XR’s harmful if I take them without swallowing the entire pill?
I’m terrible at swallowing pills, and I know this 25mg XR is definitely out of my range. I was wondering if I’d be able to just dump out as many of the beads I’d need and swallow them without the pill casing? If I understood correctly, it consists of 2 separate doses, one which is released early and one that peaks later on, right? Any help is appreciated, and don’t be afraid to insult my inability to swallow pills, I think it’s pretty weak as well.
DO NOT crush extended release tablets or break open any capsule and take the contents. Extended release tablets are designed to slowly release the medication over a period of time. Damaging the tablets or capsules changes the properties of the medicine and you could be getting the wrong dose, possibly an overdose.
If you have trouble swallowing pills, try putting them in some sort of soft food like pudding or ice cream. It is a lot easier swallowing pills in a semi-solid medium than water.
